MAS has launched its new A330-300 aircraft on 14/4/2011, amidst a ceremonious event at the KLIA.

The event was graced by our Minister of Transport, Y.B.Dato' Seri Kong Cho Ha.
Also present were MAS's Chairman ,Tan Sri Dr Munir Masjid and MAS Managing Director/CEO Tengku Dato' Sri Azmil Zahruddin,
as well as Representative from Airbus and the Embassies of France,Spain,Great Britain and Germany, partners from the aviation industry,corporate customer,travel trade, winners of MAS Facebook Page contest and member of the media.
   
Starting with a launch flight MH8888 from KLIA, guest were taken for a short journey to experience the new interiors and features of the aircraft. 
when the flight arrived, the traditional water salute welcome the latest aircraft to the MAS fleet ,followed by a mixed drum ensemble. An eclectic dance performance symbolized the potpourri of cultures, as the passengers disembarked from the aircraft. 

A330-300 is the FIRST!!! of 15 aircraft to be delivered to m'sia over the next four years.

It is the 2nd fleet after B737-800 to the sport with red and blue lines representing the MAS corporate colors. 

Total capacity of 283 seats,36 seats in Business Class, 257 seats in Economy class.

Equipped with AC power supply  and USB port for the laptop and electronic equipment.

New interiors are installed with mood lighting in all cabins.

Spacious overhead baggage compartments.

Sophisticated features and interiors in:
 Business Class -offer comfortable angled lie flats seats, a fold-out privacy divider and six way adjustable headrest.
Economy Class -light weight and slim design seats with four adjustable headrest.
Each seats is equipped with individual audio-video on demand smart screen.
(latest movies, TV program,moving map and games are available) 

1st commercial flight on the new A330-300 will be from Kuala Lumpur to Brisbane departing on 20 April 2011, followed by flights to Shanghai, Osaka, Beijing, Perth, Delhi on later dates.
